Even though this might not be news for some, but I have been very concerned with dengue fever as I was once a patient myself. Dengue is not somethng that we can play about. It is a very serious disease that might even be fatal. To make matters worse, Selangor has the current highest ranking of Aedes infestation-totalling of 36 areas and 31 deaths.
The Kuala City Hall has identified seven other areas of infestation. By which, three were at the People Housing Projects, namely Taman Mulia, Desa Tun Razak and Air Panas. Followed by Taman Setapak Jaya, Keramat Wangsa, Bandar Baru Sentul and the Sri Selangor flats.
Residents must be extra careful to keep their surrounding neighbourhood clean and ensure that there is no breeding ground for the mosquitoes. Those who were found to breed the mosquitoes will be served with compound notices.
Therefore, we should stop the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes. Being a little cleaner may save the life of your loved ones.
